Behind the Floats: A deep dive into all things stranded knitting
Now is the time to get lost in the world of stranded knitting!

Stranded knitting technique
Two handed and One handed methods will be covered with a focus on two handed knitting that is suited for all knitters including: Continental Knitters, Left Handed Knitters, and Beginner knitters. Mastering the best stranding technique for you will ensure that your knitting and the final project are a dream each time you pickup the needles. We will also explore when and how to trap floats flat and in the round.
Gauge
Especially after substitution, is a big challenge in colourwork but you will come away with all the tools and skills to make the necessary adjustments. We will also cover how to expand a pattern if it is too small or too large for you. With the gauge skills and tools you will also be able to adjust and substitute any colourwork pattern.
The Final Chop
We will cover steeking: preparing, cutting, finishing, and why and where to use steeks in our knitting. A live steeking demonstration will be provided that will allow all class members to participate and learn about steeking without having to prepare a sample.
Please feel free to bring a colorwork project to cast on or a project to steek in the class. To help you have the best success I have included a PDF of how to select your project. (Download PDF Pattern Guide -
